Plot[]
While her laptop continues the decryption process, Feng Yifei tells Rock that he can do whatever he wants with his chaotic freedom, specifically saying that he can either be Rock or use his freedom to give up his freedom and be Rokurō Okajima and return to Japan. As Rock ponders her thought and puts out his cigarette on his Singha can, Feng reminds him that he had security and peace in his old world but had to give up some of his freedom, concluding that he can continue having freedom in Roanapur. When Feng states that both Rock and the world are free, Rock notes that the decryption has finished. Examining the Annenheim Distributions logs, Feng details that the language is neither Chinese nor Albanian but is English since it makes for easier communication on both sides.
Seeing that the messages had increased five or six years ago after the democratization of Albania and its restructuring of government, Feng repeats that the People's Liberation Army tried to maintain cover activities. Reading it carefully, she tells Rock that the correspondence is with a former Sigurimi official, explicating that they were the secret police during the Albanian communist regime but have reorganized as SHIK now. As the two read the harsh language, they discover that the PLA was angry about the Sigurimi not returning the gold ingots and how the Albanians removed the government marks on the liquid assets. Pointing at the screen, Rock says that the Chinese government used the gold to finance the Sigurimi's activities since the 1970s, and he immediately recognizes the word "Ali Dragua."
Feng is surprised and asks Rock how he knows the term, but he merely adjusts his necktie and says that he may have found a connection. As he prepares to leave Jackpot Pigeons, Feng is nervous and asks him what exactly he has planned for her. Putting his hand against the wall and leaning in to Feng, he replies that he has let her take the wheel and thus cannot stop his dance with her. Declaring that he will gamble on her life, Rock tells her that she bet on it as well and advises her to be careful.

- Koçi Xoxe, the Albanian recipient of the email from the PLA, is the name of the first director of Albania's Sigurimi (secret police organization), though in real life he had been arrested in 1948 and executed in 1949.
