Verrocchio (ヴェロッキオ Verokkio) was the former boss of Cosa Nostra's Thai branch, which was known as the Verrocchio Family under his tenure.

Appearance[]

Verrocchio was an adult Italian man with a tall build and tan skin. He had a short crop of blonde hair and small light-colored eyes. He wore a tan overcoat with a dark necktie and dark-green dress shirt. Additionally, he carried a Bernardelli P-018 pistol for a weapon.

Personality[]

Verrocchio was an impatient person who had no respect for anyone but himself, as shown when he beat up a subordinate who disagreed with him and when he constantly insulted Balalaika by calling her "Fry-Face" and insulting her Russian background.

History[]

Chase for ring-ding ships[]

Only in the anime for this arc, Verrocchio was seen eating some food at a restaurant and saw Dutch walking in front of the building. He asked one of his men if Dutch was working for the Russians, and his subordinate responded that the Lagoon Company would take jobs from anyone so long as they met their price.[1]

Bloodsport Fairy tale[]

Annoyed by Hotel Moscow's tightening control of Roanapur, he attempted to use the child assassins, Hänsel and Gretel, to kill Balalaika. When the murders of Hotel Moscow members began throughout Roanapur, an emergency Council meeting was held between Mister Chang, Balalaika, Verrocchio, and Abrego to discern who was behind the killings. While exchanging insults with Balalaika, Verrocchio claimed that one his own men was also murdered, telling Chang that the murders were likely the work of an outsider who was unfamiliar with how Roanapur operated. All four crime lords agreed to a truce until they found the killers on Chang's recommendation. Balalaika left the meeting by insulting Verrocchio once more and sternly warning the crime lords that she would get violent revenge on the perpetrators, be they comrades or enemies.[2]

After the meeting and after Balalaika and Mister Chang of the Hong Kong Triad agreed to combine forces, Verrocchio held a meeting with his Italian subordinates the next night since Balalaika was still alive. In a fit of rage, he angrily told his underlings that the twins wasted time by unnecessarily killing Hotel Moscow members instead of killing Balalaika. When Moretti recommended that they should have cut their losses and turn on the twins, Verrocchio beat up Moretti, smashing his head against a wall and kicking him on the ground repeatedly. When Verrocchio stated that the Sicilian families of the cupola would be angry with his failure, Hänsel and Gretel showed up. Enraged, the Italian leader furiously shouted that he thought he told them never to come to the Italian headquarters. Not fazed, the twins laughed and pulled out their weapons, prompting Verrocchio to pull out his own pistol. Quicker on the draw, the two twins slaughtered Verrocchio and the men in the room, making the whole town know about their approximate location. In the aftermath, Chief Watsap questioned Chang about the attack since he was right outside the headquarters when the massacre occurred.[3]

After his death, his role as Cosa Nostra's Thai branch leader was taken up by Ronnie the Jaws.
