Plot[]

In the school library, Maki and Yukio Washimine finish sorting all the library cards, with the former remarking that it was hard work. Yukio responds that she had to finish it right away, and she exits the library with her while noting the hard snow. Surprised, Maki asks Yukio if she hates snow, but Yukio calmly rubs Maki's face, telling the young girl that she is good and should listen to her mother. As Maki is confused, several cars pull up to the library entrance, and Ginji tells Yukio that he is ready to serve her. When Maki falls on her bottom in surprise, she notices the yakuza and Yukio happily bids goodbye. As Yukio enters the car, Maki cries because her friend is now affiliated with the criminal underworld.

Riding in the backseat, Yukio asks if they have anything on Balalaika's whereabouts, which Ginji and Yoshida cannot confirm at the moment but are looking for Russians nonetheless. Deducing that Balalaika wants to fight with them before they leave Japan, Yukio orders them to also surveil the Russian embassy as another location that the Russian gangsters frequent. Removing her own glasses, Yukio begins to cry, causing Yoshida to ask her if he should pull over. She politely declines and wipes away her tears, commenting that she needs to get used to her new life and also thanking Yoshida for defending her earlier at the previous Washimine Group meeting. At the meeting, Yoshida and Ginji knelt next to Yukio as she told the yakuza that she was willing to succeed as their leader per the Kōsa Council's request and due to Tsugio Bandō's untimely death. As the men grumbled, Yoshida berated them for their hesitancy, telling them that she is sacrificing her normal life to help them and demanded the men to show their respect and loyalty to Yukio.

Back in the present, Yoshida replies that his defense of her was no skin off his back, commending her for defending them in turn. Ginji then steps out of the car to begin his killing, assuring his leader that he will be careful. At a Russian restaurant, Vasili Laptev eats and is annoyed to learn from his subordinates that Balalaika is not responding to their calls. When Makarushka recommends that they contact Moscow for instructions, Laptev angrily stabs his hand, insulting his men for not being able to help him. Grabbing his head in stress, he concludes that Balalaika must have sucked up to Vor Slevinin, adding that she despises ex-KGB people like himself as well as nomenklatura and GRU agents. Noticing several cars suddenly pulling up outside, Laptev warns his men to get down, and the yakuza begin shooting the windows.

When the gunfire ceases, Laptev sees Ginji enter the place with his white scabbard, immediately ordering his men to shoot at him. Evading the gunfire, Ginji cuts up the men as they recklessly shoot. Trying to crawl away, Laptev is terrified and hears Ginji's sword next to his head, telling the Russian that he is not going anywhere. Elsewhere, Revy gets her Cutlass pistols from the deliveryman, who tells her to try and vouch for his pay to be increased, but she shows him her middle finger and tells him to tell them himself. Returning to the taxi, Revy apologizes to Rock for keeping him waiting, remarking that she is glad to rid of her Tokarev pistol. Seeing the news on the electronic dashboard, Rock states that the mafia war has started, and he asks Revy to accompany him because he wants to dissuade Yukio from cementing herself in the criminal world.
